Blueberry Banana Sour Cream Bread

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter or margarine
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 6 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 (16 oz.) container sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons baking soda
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups blueberries


  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease 2 9-inch loaf pans.  In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon and lightly dust bottom and sides of loaf pans; set the rest to the side.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  3. Mix in eggs, mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix in salt, baking soda and flour. Stir in blueberries.
  4. Divide into prepared pans and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
