This is a Tiffany & Co. themed-cake and cupcakes made for one of my co-worker’s friend’s as a surprise for a birthday party. Inside is a two-layered red-velvet cake with cream cheese frosting surrounded by hand-made marshmallow fondant.
The brand, Tiffany & Co., is infamous for its signature robin egg blue box wrapped with a white satin ribbon. Achieving the exact Tiffany blue can be quite a challenge and I have the tips to help you successfully make your own Tiffany & Co. sweets.

With practice, I managed to find the perfect shade using Wilton Icing Colors, teal. If you try to make your own Tiffany cake or cupcakes, follow these simple steps to achieve the perfect shade:
- Begin with a pure white base of fondant or buttercream. If using buttercream with a yellowish hue, the Tiffany blue may appear more green.
- Using a toothpick, apply a small amount of teal Wilton Icing Color. I recommend starting with a 1/2 in line per 1 10.5 oz bag of melted marshmallows (use the same amount for every 2 cups of white buttercream) and stir until the base has completely incorporated the color. Add more teal icing color if needed but remember sometimes less is best.
- If you think you may have used too much color, try adding in more base.
- For fondant, keep in mind that powdered sugar may lighten the desired color.
I hope these tips help. So have fun and enjoy your sweet Tiffany creation.
